Starting the night off we have the English punk band Higher Power. Lots of enthusiasm and smiles from the members. You could feel the energy in the room shift as they played their brand new song Absolute Bloom a personal favorite of mine. Up next the Canadian pop rock band Bearings takes the stage. The crowd singing along and the members upbeat attitude composed for a killer set. The California Hardcore band DRAIN is next. With their newest album “Living Proof” released back in May of 2023 i was excited to see them play. Sammy made it very clear that there are NO RULES during their set “pretend this barricade doesn’t exist”. Jumping into the crowd, hugging fans, passing the mic to anybody who knows their music and the crowd giving the security a run for their money was just typical DRAIN fashion. Rarely do you see bands connect so much with their audience and that’s why DRAIN will always be your friend!! Finally the UKs very own pop punk band Neck Deep are up. The lights dimming the curtains rising you could feel the vibe in the room change as the members walked on stage. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner there was a lot of love involved with this set. Ben the vocalist dedicating songs to people in the crowd that were single and for people that were in a relationship. From forming girls only circle pits to Ben expressing his love for weed. The overall event was something I’ll remember forever, Neck Deeps live performances are just something you have to experience in person no words on a page could express the pure emotion and passion that this band has to offer. There’s only a hand full of shows left on this tour so if you’re looking into going I would highly suggest it!
